Only accountancy firm is registered. Is it ok?

Hi All,

I am a director and working with an accountancy firm for my ltd company.
The accountancy firm is registered with ICAEW but my accountant is not registered.

Does the accountant also needs to be registered with any professional body or the accountancy firm registered is enough?

How do they check ?

Get the letter on accountancy firm letter head and mention the registration number of the firm. No need to specify the individual accountant name.

UKBA tier1 guidance clearly says it should be either certified accountant or accountancy firm. Now in the certified accountancy firm you are not bothered which individual is doing the job. It's the firm who is certifying it!

It is the registration number of the accountant firm with professional body like ICAEW.

There are other professional bodies similar to ICAEW, as per given in guidance.
