Here's a big upate about my EEA2 application.

EEA2 application sent: 11th February 2013
EEA2 Received by HO: 12th Febryary 2013
COA received: 23rd February 2013 (dated 20th February) with right to work
Passports requested: 26/2/13 and 5/3/13
RC received: 8/3/13 dated 26/2/13

Personaly I do believe that more you annoy them requesting your passports, more likely they will actually have a look at your application.

I just want to thank you all for your kind advice and support.

Good luck to all of you!

Surely this has to be an all-time record? Great news!

Amazing result tweety0211. Congratulation...
I have requested my passport on Wednesday 06/03/2013 after applying 5 months before.
I thought there was a risk of receiving the passport by itself if you ask for it too quickly.
As we can see in many cases in this forums, a lot of people who requested their passport before the 6 months have received their RC with it and it was also delivered the same day the passport was requested.

Again this is a risk. Here is my timeline, I will update in a couple of days...

EEA2 sent: 22nd Oct 2012
EEA2 Received: 23rd Oct 2012
COA sent: 30th Oct 2012
Requested Passeport back: 06th March 2013
RC issue and received:???

I am another who applied in October (20th to be more exact). I received my COA in 12 days so I thought that this time the process was going to be faster. I applied in March 2012 but the ****ts lost our passports and they took more than 3 months to send me a letter saying "sorry but you havent sent proof of ID as we didnt received any ID/passport". Can you believe that? Its madness. I was complaining a lot of times till I received my lost passports in Aug 2012. I sent them this time all my complains, letter of MP and all my docs again but still waiting. As I see, a lot of people who is requesting their passports back is getting the RC so I think I will do the same in the next few days.
GOOD LUCK to everyone!

I applied also on 20th October. I received my COA within 10 days, so I thought they will deliver the RC quickly as well. Anyway, It been nearly 5 months so I decided to ask them for my passport back. I need to travel in April and can't take the risk of not having my passport. We will see what happen...

I do believe that late September/October applicants are being held and January/February ones already have their RC or am I wrong?
We (October ones) are in the same boat perhaps with the same useless case worker.
Let me know when you receive your passport back to see what happened, please.

i wish i applied at january too. it is so funny, i've just realized something. in my coa, it says " if you need to contact us by telephone please use the number on this letter". funny part is there is no number on the letter !!! and in the e mail part, they just wrote " @ukba.gsi.gov.uk" should i try to write my caseworkers name (there is a name at the end of my letter) and try to send an e-mail that address too?

We filled in the RoD form and sent emailed it to Liverpool address. As a reason to request docs back we only put- travel abroad! Nothing else! We didnt send any photos or supporting docs appart from those stated in section 12 of the application itself. If I was you, I'd get MP involved or keept emailing them every day! Hope you hear some news soon. Best of luck!

Just some quick questions:
-What did you put for "Home office (HO) reference or fee reference* – Nationality only"? Where can we find this number? There is no such number on my COA. Does everyone have one or do they just want you to write your nationality?

-How soon did you request the documents for?

And also from which email did you send the ROD form? I mean from the EEA national or from non-EEA national? Do you think it makes any difference?

Thanks a lot

HO reference number was written on my CoA, it beginns with a letter followed by 7 digits. It was located on top right hand corner of the CoA.

We asked our documents to be returned by 20th March, and asked them to use special delivery envelope enclosed with our application.

We only provided one email address to them and both emails were sent to them from that address. First email was sent by my husband and second by me.

Help!Serious Solvit issue

Post by chiefogunde » Fri Mar 08, 2013 11:18 pm

Hi There,
I am an applicant whose timeline has exceeded the 6months limit and as expected i have contacted everyone including solvit uk.surprisingly, solvit uk reffered the case to my wifes country solvit, who in turn is requesting me to sent a copy of my coa and to sign an online form authorising them to access my wifes data.I would like to know if this is the standard procedure because one cannot be too careful with online stuff lately. Thanks

Very surprised to see october and september applicant complaining about non receipt of rc,may i say with all due respect that august applicants are still waiting for rc and there is absolutely nothing we can do about it.So,to all expectant applicants, just calm down and carry on.

with all my respect, but if everyone will just wait for more than 6 months and do nothing about it, HO will think it is normal. And I dont think we should just wait, I will do everything it takes to get my card on time. Some people can wait if they want, and some people have work to do, families to feed and simply deserve to get what they were promised to get (positive or negative answer but at least on time). If the HO cannot keep up with the established deadline of 6 months, than they should change it to official 7 months or whatever they need, but not giving us promise and do not deliver it.

Been almost a month since I sent my EEA2 application along with my European spouse's EEA1 application.

How long must I wait for a COA? If I do want to contact them to request one, how do I do it? Is there an email for this?

Since I have no reference/file number or anything like that, I was wondering if they'd be able to help purely on the basis of our names.

That's incredible. Congratulations.

If I may ask, since you requested your passports back, did you end up getting your RC on an A4 paper?

Also, did you bug them initially for a COA as well, or just later on using the reference number stated on the COA to get your passports back?

Most people in this thread that I have seen post seem to be EEA2 applicants. In my case, we applied for an EEA1 & EEA2 at the same time. I am worried that this might add time to our application and delay it further.

The fact that most Feb 2013 applicants received at least their COAs within a few days and some even got their RCs, but I haven't received even my COA yet, is bugging me. This is so psychologically stressful.

Are my worries justified?

We are in the same situation. We applied eea1 and eea2 together. Waiting till september 24 (coa recieved 15 october). Good luck my friend, i dont know if it is going to slow us down but it has been a long wait for me already. And it continues. I'm sick, depressed, I have great resposibilities in my country, i need to go. Everybody is keep reminding me even if I try to forget my situation. And I'm a Lawyer in my country so this whole situation is really sickens me because i'm not use to just sit and wait. All want is to be with my husband and go to my country whenever I want. Is that so much. They ruining my life and my marriage.

I received my RC stamped in my passport. We did not request the passports back before receiving the COA. As a matter of fact, we waited to receive the COA and decided to give them 2 weeks and then request the passports back. On the day we requested the passports back they issued me RC.

do you guys think that nationality of non-EEA has something to do with application processing times??
I had a look at statistics showing numer of people who had settled in the UK on spouse visa from my country in past four years did not exceed 150, where as from some countries in the same period more than 30 thousand applied to settle in the UK as a spouse/partner.

Definately tweety, massive discrimination is going on out there, especially against coloured people. They will never treat a kenya, the same way they wld treat an australian but they would want to dictate who should be kenya's prime minister.despite this and the fact that the kenyans clean their grandmothers poo,in care homes all over the country. Its a big shame but what to do?In the meantime i wld like to know the source of your statistic please.
