HSMP form protected

Post by rajeevanand » Thu Mar 15, 2007 7:49 am

Hi Guys

I downloaded the hsmp form from the workingintheuk.gov website.

When I tried to fill in my details, MS Word says "the document is protected, do you want to unprotect" and doesn't allow to enter until I unprotect.

Now I'm not sure if it's ok to unprotect and fill in the details or fill it by hand ?

Any inputs ?

Thanks
Rajeev

Open the file in Open Office (or similar Word compatible word processor). Save it and open it again in Word.

Protection should have removed.

i did the same. HSMP granted 12-Dec-06, FLR(HSMP) Granted 12-Mar-07

however, as long as you fill out neatly by hand in block letters, i can't see why you HAVE to have it typed.

Thanks Guys

I called the HSMP customer service this morning. Apparently, they are not aware of it. They said it's ok to type in.

I've just recently got approval and here is what I did:

I typed in wherever I could in the unproted document, took print out and filled in rest of info manually. My friend also did the same. It is not a problem at all.
