I wouldn't take the smear test results that's very privileged information, or take it but only use it if absolutely necessary.

Hi Raj

Photocopying all ur documents, especially ur 12 months bank statements, is definitely a good idea. I know they just take very few photocopies from ur hand, but you dont want to leave a chance.

Abdul

Hi all,

I am planning to apply for the ILR in the 1st week of may 2013.
I came to UK on 2007 in work permit and in 2009 i got my Tier1 visa.
Pleas find below my history of stay in UK

Year1 --> 06-May-2013 to 05-May-2013 -- No breaks
Year2 --> 06-May-2012to 05-May-2011 -- 89 Days
Year3 --> 06-May-2011 to 05-May-2010 --17 days
Year4 --> 06-May-2010 to 05-May-2009 --52 days
Year5 --> 08-May-2009 to 05-May-2008 --217 days

In Year5 I was in India and I was paid in Indian salary.
As I am having a long absence in the years 5, I would like to know whether I am eligible for apply for the ILR or not.

Please advise me

Thanks!

Regards
Kandasamy

Would you be able to get a letter from your employer explaining why you needed to be in India for 217 days; exact nature of your work trip, etc. Were you paid in GBP or INR during that period?
It would be a good idea to get a HMRC summary of tax/NI paid over last 5 years.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.
In 2008 i went back to UK on personal trip as my father got expired and I am not able to return back to UK as i planned because of my personal commitment, so it will be difficult to get the letter from my employer
In India i was paid in INR or in GBP.
As you suggested I will contact HMRc and I will get the employment history.
With having a long absence in UK in the year5, i would like to know whether my application will be refused,

Thanks!

Regards
Kandasamy
