When should I apply for 2nd extension, Senior help required.

Hi,

I am a bit confused to apply before 6 April or after december because of two things, listed below, that when should I apply for the second extention.

• 1. I am short of around 1-2 months for my 5 year -ILR and my current visa is valid till may 2014.
  
  2. Tremendous fee rise

My full visa snapshot is:

I got HSMP Tier 1 visa in March 2009
I first entered uk in July 2009
Got my (1st) extension in May 2012
My current (1st) extension is valid until May 2014
I should be eligible for ILR in JUNE 2014 as per my date of entry to uk (28 days before the end of 5 years timespan)

My concerns if I apply right now are:

• 1. I have maintained around 3100 from last 3 months for 1 main applicant and 2 dependents, is that amount sufficient?
  
  2. Will there be a lot of delays again this year because of gigantic fee rise?

If you enter UK more then 90 days later then Entry clearance, which is your case, then you need to have 5 years completed starting from date of entry and in your case it will be in july and you will need to have an extension

If you want to save some money you can apply now as I am doing it.

Please can you clarify what you mean by "save money".....I also came late as stated below

Initial entry clearance was issued on 7th July 2008
I came into UK in 27 Oct 2008
My first extension was granted in 11 July 2010 and to expire 11 July 2013

SO can you advice what I need to do to save money as I am was told I will need another extension rather than ILR

The fee is going to increase from 6th April 2013.

Main Applicant= £1800 ---> £1920
Dependents= 925 --> Appox £1500

So if you apply early they will extend it from the date of application and you will save some money.
