Nope ....

I applied from Bangalore....

I mentioned it as 12th March as i wanted to travel by that date....

I am into Softwares....

Can anyone put some light as to if the MEdical Clearance is a mandatory process for HSMP under new rules or mine was an exception.....

i dont know why they asked you to go for medical registration. my friends didn't have any medical registration.

i think you dont have other go, so go on with medical registration. there will be no problem with that. your visa is almost confirmed, but it may be delayed for 10 days.

Just an update on the medical examination part ... Looks like it s a new requirement for the EC for HSMP/Work Permit people .....

Check this link http://www.vfs-uk.co.in

As we enter this site there are 2-3 pop ups , one of which speaks of the medical Examination being must for the HSMP EC .... looks like every one hence forth has to go thru this process ....

Regards
Sunil

I got my passport back with EC approval on March 14. Stamped till Mar 12, 2009. I had submitted documents on March 5 in Bangalore. They did make a reference check to my old company on March 9.
No Medical checkup was done.

That's why you are required to go through Medical Examination... A person who is entering in the UK for 1st time, is required to provide his medical report or go through Med Exam... Don't worry.. it is just a formality...

Hi AkashS,

In my VISA is not mentioned about medical examination. There is mentioned that I should register at the POLICE. That's why I'm worried.

Anybody got EC from India with job offer in hand? In my case I have a job offer from UK. He had sent me offer through email and pdf format. Please let me know, if only printout of email and pdf file will be sufficient. Or I have to get original offer letter in paper format from my UK employer.
Thanks in advance.

guys,
today i have submitted my docs for EC at Banjara Hills 7. i had submitted the following docs
1. all docs sent for HSMP + VAF1
2. latest bank statements for 3 months
3. latest 3 months pay slips on letter head signed
4. my flat apartment documents
5. bank statements confirming 4.5 lacs INR
6. marriage certificate + photo
7. my business card
8. 50x50 size photo
9. fee 8441 X2 (for me and my wife)

and the guys at vfs had arranged all the docs in order and put them in their own folder (they reuse the same folder for other applicants as well). then i went to the fee counter and gave the folder and address slip (to courier the docs to our residence) and fee of 16882 INR. they didnt give me any receipt though. do we have to ask for it ?
and thats it.. i came out and had a cup of tea.
godddd...one week to get back my ppt..pl grant my wish..EC

Hi Praveen,
I am having similar thoughts for the Accomodation Proof. One of my friend has suggested to get letter from friend and also xerox copies of UK friends passport to show his current UK status to Embassy. What do you say ?
