Confusion regarding Earning Period Teir 1 General Ext

Post by asad2asad » Thu Mar 14, 2013 1:22 pm

hi forum

i ll appreciate if someone can help me with this!

i get pay on four weekly basis.. the period am showing for my earning is frm

16-03-12 to 15-03-13

i got paid from my employer on 16-03-12 last year...date on payslip and money credited in my bank account is 16th march 2012..

this year am going to be paid on 15-03-13..

my question is can i claim both salary in my earning or i cant??

as the one debited in my account on 16-03-12 is for the previous month but technically comes in my account in 1 year period!

many thanks

Nope... since its salary, it will fall outside of your earning period....
You can claim 13 salary payment since you get paid every 4 weeks.

Thanks for your reply mate I really appreciate it:)

My employer gives 14 payslips in a year we get 12 of 4 weekly and 2 of 2 weekly in the month of march! Seething to do with financial year!!

So will it be problem for 14 payslips! Or just a letter from employer explains all that will do?

Many thanks

As long as it relates to a single year, there's not problem. Some people get weekly payslips. And the best advice is to think about the pay period, rather than the payment date, because dates may change, but the period you get paid for is generally the same. If you are claiming two Februaries, it means you've claim for 13 months and not 12.
