Post by januaryapplicant » Thu Mar 15, 2007 5:58 pm

Hii Guys,
Is it better to mail the Home office to find out my status or should i just wait for the mail.
Its been 8 weeks since i got my Reference number.
Last time i mailed them,a week ago, didnt get any reply for the mail.

Go ahead and send a mail. I see no harm in a mail or two.

I think its better to wait in ur case Basitali.
I have the same situation, before 3 weeks i got the same kind of mail that it is still in processing.
I will wait and mail them next week

all the best!

Hi Januaryapplicant,

You better communicate with the customer service center through telephone call.

I applied for my husband's HSMP from UK, on 11th Jan. They did not intimate the receipt through post. Upon calling we came to know that case worker was assigned. Later on, we came to know that his doc were posted on 12th Feb to India (Bangalore). Till now, we have have not received anything. We are very worried about it.

You case may be either taking long time for resolution or may be somewhere struck in transit. Please do talk to them. I think both your and his case got submitted aound same time.

Let me know though post, what status you discover in your case.
Regards,
Debjani.

I called the home office to find out the status and they said it would take 2 weeks or at max. 3 weeks to get to a decision.
I dont know if they are expecting any documents from me or just the processing is slow.
