tier 1 extension(28 days) and maintanance funds

Post by pattar » Sat Mar 16, 2013 1:32 pm

hi, got 3 questions. tier 1 expires 25th April 2013. applying for extension
-applying at croydon peo on 28th march 2013 (Am i going with in the 28 day rule or short of 1 day)
-i will apply for my wifes dependant extension after i get the visa may be on
3rd April 2013. i have got 4000 pounds saved from last 3 months. (Can i use the same maintanance funds which i used for my extension or does she need to show her own)
- because my visa will change, it doesn't change to another category. It will remain tier 1 but extended for 2 years.(will this change affect my wifes visa who is applying seperately after 6 days by post.)
thanks
pattar

Go and calculate here www.timeanddate.com
-i will apply for my wifes dependant extension after i get the visa may be on
3rd April 2013. i have got 4000 pounds saved from last 3 months. (Can i use the same maintanance funds which i used for my extension or does she need to show her own)
You query is not clear when your wife entered this country. If it's before latest changes (2012), then you should be fine and show maintenance funds from your account.

- because my visa will change, it doesn't change to another category. It will remain tier 1 but extended for 2 years.(will this change affect my wifes visa who is applying seperately after 6 days by post.)
Yes, your visa is getting extended not changing category. This shouldn't affect anyway and your wife's visa should generally (if all conditions met successfully) be provided till expiry date of your visa.

thanks
