Application process numbers EU1

Post by Static » Wed Mar 21, 2007 7:44 pm

I wonder if anyone can help me.. somebody here mentioned a process number? How do you get that? Telephoning and e-mailing don't seem to be options of obtaining this..

It is also mentioned that some of you have had confirmation of the receipt of the application... I still don't have that either. I sent it in per registered post and have the slip but DOJ haven't confirmed receiving it. Do they do that with a telephone call?? By letter??

Thanks Birdy.. I've tried requesting our passports back as well to no avail. Some of us just seem to be lucky with this :(

We got it via Phone. They never returned the Confirmation at the bottom of th application, which they are suppsoed to send out.

In our case they didn't make up a later date of receipt, probably as we sent it via registered mail.

I think your absolutely right alot of it is luck and when you call who you get to reply to letters as much as who is dealing with your specific case.

Im not sure that they can legally withold your passports from you.

Hi Birdy
At this stage I am so despondent about everything. If only we could afford legal help on our single income at the moment. I was very much gainfully employed in my country and our lifestyle has taken a huge plunge. So even if it is illegal, I can't force it out of them without legal help. :( Sorry.. whingeing.

Whingeing man i know all about that my buddies have heard it all whinge away. After we got married we had all kinds of romantic notions six month time limit so we thought wow this will be very cool and shouldnt take too long till a good friend of mine who got married before me to a american told me of her woes.

Our Savings dissappeared, i now work two Jobs because i work in a call centre and get crap pay, and i see my wife maybe four nights of the week and im tired all the time due to working so much. And Joy of Joys it turns out our wedding phoographer didnt get all of his money due to a credit card error.

Whinge on......

Sounds like us... the only time I get to see my husband is when he is dead tired and grumpy for overwork. :( At least I know I'm not the only one... :) Thanks Birdy.
