Hi,

I filled my Unrestricted COS yesterday in my company as its new to my company, i'm same situation like few people as > PSW > working for my company more than 22 months, Aug 2013 expiry, Below are the selections i choose for COS in SMS, just in case if some one need

1) Tier 2 (General – Switching Immigration Category)
2) Personal information >> Filled
3) Current Home Address,
4) Identification numbers > as it is not mandatory i had given (UK National Insurance number & Employee number)
5) Work dates > Start date = Aug 2013 End date : Aug 2016
>Does the migrant need to leave and re-enter the UK during the period of approval? ( i choose YES)
>Total weekly hours of work 37.5
6) Agent -> Ignored
7) Migrant’s employment -> Job title * Job type * Summary of job description * (given according to my corresp)
8) Gross salary in pound -> ( given )
For each * Confused and then i decided to choose Year -> and Gross allowances and
guaranteed bonuses ( i choose 0.01) as ot is not talking 0.00 or Blank

>as i had read in some post some one typed like above,
>Summary of all allowances and guaranteed bonuses - > (i written ( Include All)
>Job on a client contract -> NO
Tick to confirm that the post is at the appropriate level as set out in the sponsor guidance * ( YES Ticked)
Is the job on the current shortage occupation list? * NO According to below link

As i need 2132 Test Analyst, its in section J -> 2132 NQF 6

Give details of the resident labour market test including * ( i had written ->

Meet the exception ,
Current visa Tier1 Post Study Work.
Working for this company since March 2012.

Give registration details if there is a legal requirement ( Blank )

Tick to confirm the sponsor certifies maintenance for the migrant ( YES Ticked)


That's it, Applied and it generated COS Reference number and it says expire on 3 months after ,

Certificate number: XXXXXXXX
Current certificate status: ASSIGNED
issue date : 20 March 2013
Date assigned: 20 March 2013
Expiry date (use by): 21 June 2013
Sponsorship withdrawn : N


I have few questions still,

Q1) will i get any document or certificate from UKBA or , just This number is enough? to fill in my application,

Q2) Are those above details correct ?

Q3) Do i need any letter from my company ?

Q4) i have dependent, so do she need to show any documents ?

why did you choose YES?

are you leaving UK and re-enter again during approval??

You just need that number as far as i know, they won't send any letter or certificate.

I am not sure about the question i asked in my previous post!

you might need a letter confirming about maintenance i think...

Q4) i have dependent, so do she need to show any documents ?

They already Tick in COS for funds, so i will write just a covering letter, as i had seen in Dependant application > there a question says

M11; As your maintenance is being certified by the Tier 2 sponsor, please tick one of the
following boxes:

[ ^ ] I confirm that the A-rated sponsor has certified maintenance for me on the
main applicant’s Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS)

[ ] I confirm that the A-rated sponsor has certified maintenance for me in a
letter
---------------------

So my dependent will choose first one > as it has Tick in COS in SMS,

I don't think i need a separate letter, but i can get printout of that filled and final COS page generated with all details.

Can I ask a stupid question please ..

Does the company necessarily have to start paying the employee the exact amount/salary entered in CoS application - before a CoS No. is generated?

Or is it ok if my company give me a pay rise after (as per SOC salary entered in CoS application) when I apply for T2 visa ?

Because my company wants to start paying as per SoC salary only during the month of my visa application.

I don't think it's a problem until your company states that in a letter, and if possible try to add your latest Pay slip, let others also suggest !!!!

Thanks. I'm guessing I will be getting a new job contract with the new salary n working hours which I can submit with during my T2 application? Is pay slip necessary? May be I could provide one.months pay slip but I dont know yet.

Kindly advice all.
