IL 20 March 2013 - Received Biometrics too within 2 days

Post by 19star79 » Fri Mar 22, 2013 5:13 pm

Hi all

Many thanks to all members of this forum and all those who have contributed

We got ILR approval at Croydon PEO on 20th March 2013 and received BRP today 22nd March 2013.

Appointment was at 11:25, reached at 10:25 am, since it was a strike day. When enquired they told us to come at 11:00 am. Showed the SMS received from Home Office

Work Permit
Tier1 and Tier 1 extn
For self and dependent
Daughter who was born in UK holds dependent visa but did not apply ILR with us.

After airport style security check had to show our document (application form and passport) then a token number was issued .

Was asked to go to 1st floor and make payment. (tips-Do not pin the application form whilst paying they will take off the payment form. )

Then after payment confirmations go on the other side and wait until your token number is called.
Once the token is called go to your respective desk and submitted the following
Application form
Payment confirmation
All Passports
All bio metrics
Photographs
Depends on the first person he took 15 mins and said wait until your number is called at the finger print counter and then come back and waited in the same floor (1st floor). After a wait of about an hour our token was called for bio metrics, it took around 20 mins. Then was asked to go back to the waiting place.

We were waiting for the case worker to call us. We waited for about 1 hour and did not get called. Finally a case worker called our number. He asked me for all the documents + photocopies. (TIPS: please make a copy of all the documents this will save your time or else they will take their own time and sometimes mix up the documents)
He the asked us to go out and come back after 30 mins, we went out and had our lunch and came back after 45 to 50 mins the case worker called and said we have been grated ILR and the bio metrics will be sent in 5 to 7 days.
We received the bio metrics in two working days that great.

I am preparing MN1 for my daughter now. I would very much appreciate if people can help me and send me some notes on this

Once again many thanks to all of you.

Hats off to this forum and who had started this it saves lot of time and money (Solicitor fees). helps to get all possible documents in place and be well prepared.

The UKBA staff were very friendly
