Visitor for Tier 1 General

Hello,

I am on Tier 1 general, just recently had my second extension. which will expire in 2015. I am planning to call my parents from Pakistan to spend summer with us.

Do i apply family or general visit?

if it's general visit which documents I need to show ? Can I sponsor their visit?

For accommodation can I show that they will stay with me ?

Do i need to show ticket purchased before I apply visa ?

Any information on this would be appreciated.

Your parents should apply for General Visitor Visas. Yes, you can sponsor them & they can stay with you, tickets need not be purchased before their applications are approved, but they would need to state travel dates in the application which could possibly be supported by a return flight itinerary. See the following UKBA checklist for what they/you would need to provide. Note that it is they who will be applying for the visas. You will provide whatever documentation required as a sponsor.
