Newbie, Can I sponsor someone for a WP?

Hi,

I am the director of a small LTD company in the UK.
Would I be able to sponsor someone from Asia to work for me here on a Work Permit?

I have someone in mind who I can trust and who is cheap. Is this a valid reason?

What requirements are there of my company to do this, size, turnover etc?

I think you have to pay the minimum wage and have to prove you've scoured the UK and EU and no-one was up to scratch.

Of course this is so subjective it's possible to drive a bus through it....

Yes you can do it..But u need to show evidence that u have seacrhed for the post in UK and EU,and could nt find any one suitable..

For this, you need to show paper ad/internet adv, for 7 days...and u also need to show responses CV to that..Explanation of why you didnt like any of the CV?

Apart from showing evidences regarding shortage of skills and your adverts, since this is your first WP application, You will also be required to show your companies day to day operations support documents. Examples are, payroll/PAYE ledgers showing no: of current employees, building lease agreement, utility bills on the premise, annual returns, corp tax for atleast 2 years etc.
If you have just incorporated your ltd company, then make sure you file your application through a legal firm specialised in this area.
