documents for work permit

Hello Everyone,
Please can anyone advise me on what documents to submit for work permit visa. i have the work permit issued by my company in london. my current company in mumbai has paid most of my salary in allowances and cash. i dont have that much history in my bank statements. please can anyone guide me.
also what are the chances of getting the visa. is rejection as stringent as it is for US visa???

it is the UK company's job to get your work permit. you do not apply for it

once they have recieved your approval.. you must apply for EC.(entry clearance)

thanks, but i mean i have the work permit, but need to apply for visa at British high commission. what documents are needed for getting the visa stamped.

Have a look at the required documents for the work-permit EC from the BHC Mumbai website here.

If you feel that the details there are not specific enough, look at this link from BHC in another country just for guidance.
