Do you get your passport back on the day of PEO?

I am travelling soon after my PEO appointment. Do you get your passport back on the same day?

Yes, if your application is approved on the same day. But there is always the possibility that you may not get a decision on the same day - E.g. Biometric system issues, further verification checks for your application etc...
