Travel to Germany on Schengen visa issued by french embassy

Post by solospy » Tue Apr 02, 2013 9:53 am

I am a british citizen. My wife got a schengen visa from french embassy as a spouse of european national for 3 months. We went to france and came back but my wifes schengen visa is still valid. Can she travel to germany with me on that visa ? or she need to go to france first and then can travel to germany from there?

Many thanks

No problem at all. Not only Germany, but all other Schengen area countries, such as Norway, Spain etc etc.

The journey to Germany or wherever does not need to be via France.

In the past before my own wife became British, on a French-issued Schengen visa, we first had a first visit to France, and then later had a 2-week package holiday in Lanzarote, part of the Canary Islands, part of Spain. No problem at all using the French-issued Schengen visa there.
