Is it possible I receive BRP before my passport?

Post by eradat » Tue Apr 02, 2013 1:02 pm

Application date: 11th march
Visa expiry: 18th march
Dependent : 1
Acknowledgement : 14th march
Bio metric request: 16th March
Bio metric Dependent: 19th March
Bio Metric Main app: 20th March
DX Notification: 28th March (for dependent only, unsure of outcome)

I am not sure why would my wife get her notification first and first we should receive the passport back which should be in one pack as we applied together from inside UK. So not sure what it means and a bit worred

Can my dependent get her biometric before me?
Can we receive biometric before passport?

Let me know.

Hi,

Sorry i have already applied for a Tier 1 general extension with my wife in March from within UK

My questions were:

Can my dependent get her biometric before me?
Can we receive biometric before passport?

The maintenance fund is shown from my wife's account

Yes, Yes and Yes...
Unless you provided Royalmail Special delivery Envelope, your passport and documents will be delivered 2nd class recorded... which may take 5-6 days...
There is always a high possibility to receive BRP first, and nothing wrong with receiving dependant's BRP first (dont get jealous !!!)...
Bottom line is, your visa extension is approved..

Hi

The reason behind your wife going to recieve BRP before you is as she went on 19th and you on 20th.

Biometrics are always sent before the passport and are all on seperae dx delivery.

J

GUYS, I am feeling really confident now. I did not expect such swift response.

I had few glitches

a. I claimed 105 points.
b. earning was showed between 20th Dec 2011 and 19th October 2012 as I was unemployed nov and dec 2012. (54K)
c. all maintenance savings were showed from my wife's account

So hopefully these would not come in way and thanks a lot for your advises all of you.
