I applied for reissue of of my son's Indian passport, now they sent it back with my application and asking for a extra document, i need to attach a letter from British home office stating 'not acquired British passport' for my daughter.

By the way, I am an Indian passport holder and my wife is a British passport holder. Both were born in India. My son passport expires in a month. My son is 9 years old.

What's the best way to get the letter from Home office, how long would it take.
