The new third edition comes out from 25th of March 2013.
Do I need to pass it again using third edition?
No. Your LITUK test result has no expiry date, so is valid indefinitely.
Thank you so much for your reply Guru

I did the new Life in UK test on 26th March in Lewisham
It is abit different from the 2nd edition.

There is a lot more dates and significant ppl stated within, with some Olympic stuff and GB champions added too.
Some questions are in deed based on the new book.

But as mentioned before, the test itself is not hard if you did read through the new book. I would not advise anyone go in there without going through it properly. I took a week to read through the book and actual test for me lasted only 6 minutes (that's including reading all my answers twice!)

How to best practice for Life in the UK test? UKBA website mentions 3 books:

1) 'Life in the United Kingdom: Official Citizenship Test Study Guide'
2) 'Passing the Life in the UK Test: Official Practice Questions and Answers'
3) 'Life in the United Kingdom 3rd Edition: A Guide for New Residents'.

Do I need to buy all 3 books to prepare for the test?

Is there any expiry of the test?

Does anyone has a link to download the pdf handbook?

Thanks

The "Free Life in the UK Test" website is aimed at individuals preparing for the Life in the UK Test 2013 in order to meet the latest conditions for settlement, i.e. naturalisation as a British citizen or indefinite leave to remain in the UK. The series of randomised questions are based on topics covered in the Life in the United Kingdom: A Guide for New Residents, 3rd Edition.

If you haven't passed your Life in the UK test you will need to pass it, however if you have then there's no need to pass it. You will also need to pass the ESOL test. You need them both! To practice the Life in the UK test you can simply go to ILRtest.com and do some practice test, I heard from my friend that she used it and passed first time. To pass the ESOL you need some english knowledge so you could take some courses or study yourself.

Hi all,

I just passed today my life in the uk test. Just to let you know that I have practised from

weblink removed

and I found that the exam questions were more easier than the ones I have practised. So, if you pass the tests from that website with no doubt you will pass the real exam.
