Congratulations and happy for you.

Can we know what was your visa type and what is the category of the visa you had applied for your wife?

Thanks.

Spouse visa

Post by desmortess » Wed Mar 27, 2013 10:26 am

Here are my timeline:

Visa Applied = 27 February 2013

Status changed to "Visa application forwarded to British High commission, Chennai" = 4 March 2013

After this no news and no updates? UKBA always hectic.

Anyone applied in the same period and waiting for the results?

Hello desmortess,

I applied on 26th Feb 2013 in bangalore and the status is "Visa application is under process at the British High Commission" is the same since the day 1.

What I heard from VFS is UKBA take minimum of 64 working days, no idea why the hell they take so many days.

Thank you! Visa refusal reason was non submission of UK NARIC Comparability statement of bachelor degree. I appealed with UK NARIC Comparability statement and decision was overturned Hence visa granted !!

Hi

We have recently been refused a fiancé visa on the grounds the ECO doesn’t believe we are not in a genuine relationship. A bit of back ground my fiancé is an overstayer who I met in the UK, we spent 8 months together before making the decision that he would return (at his own expense) to India to make an application.

'lack of personal contact and lack of evidence of regular correspondence between you. I am not satisfied that you have genuinely formed a relationship, that you have been in regular contact and that you relationship is subsisting and durable with genuine outward signs of affection and companionship'

Application Submitted October 2012
Refusal January 2013
Appeal Submitted March 2013

I got married last week and have returned to UK now . My wife will apply for Spouse visa on Monday. As I am Muslim, how do we need to prove arranged marriage as genuine, What docs do we need to include.
I have included marriage certificate and also pics of Nikah and Emails I wrote to her after our engagement in Jan.

Can you also tell me what do you we need to fill in the form for

1) Question : Do you stay with you husband? what do I write here and also about sponsorship, what are the things i need to keep in mind.

2) Documents included :

• 2 recent passport photographs and my passport.
• My birth certificate and Copies of my husband’s Passport pages and BRP card confirming mine and his age.
• Original Marriage Certificate with 8 Photos.
• Accommodation Requirement: Tenancy Agreement and No objection letter from Landlord.
• Salary Slips - 12 months, Current account(Account Number : XXXXXX) Barclays Bank statements - 12 months, Saving Account Statements, P60 – Previous 3 years and HMRC earnings letter for past 4 Years.
• Employment letter confirming the salary and employment type.
• Sponsor undertaking letter
• PTE score card and email confirmation of the score send to UKBA.

Do i need to put any cover letter?

Please let me know if I am missing any thing.
