Applaying on Manual Pakistani Passport

Hello All,

Is it alright to apply on a Manual Pakistani Passport issued by Pakistan high commesion in Lonodn? i am applying my tier 1 extension and as my newly born baby is still waiting for Machine Redable passport (MRP) i will contact Pakistan high commision tomorrow and will get his manual passport (hand written one ), has some one already applied on a manual passport before? or if some one got any information if it is allowed, i am unable to find any information on UKBA website that the passport needs to be of certain type.

Manual/ hand-written passport is fine. I've used one issued by the Indian Embassy in Hungary for the past 7 years including all UK related visas etc.
