I was applying for my visa or ILE before this specific visa went away on April 2 2007. She said at the LA Consulate she has no information that this is going away at all and anyway I had applied to early, as I am not leaving until next year. She said that you cannot apply until three months before you leave. I did not find that information anywhere. I read here that go ahead and apply for the ILE as it was going awy because you have two years to use it to enter the UK. Wrong it appears. Just an FYI!
