Tier1 dependant visa from Pakistan

Post by m.sheikh » Wed Apr 10, 2013 3:28 pm

Hi All,

I am about to apply my wife's Tier-1 General dependant visa from Pakistan, I wonder if anyone can help me with the following?

1. I have NADRA marriage cert AND Original Marriage Cert in english as well, do I need to submit the urdu marriage cert as well?

2. Do I need to get them attested from Foreign ministry office?

3. In the online visa application form there is question about main applicant's job and they expect you to provide a employement start and end date, in my case there is no end date - I am assuming its OK to leave it blank.

Thanks for help.

1. Original is the one which you and your spouse has signed. The other is surely a translation. You must include original with certified translation if it is not in English.

2. No. But it should be registered and endorsed by your local union council or cantonment board Ref: http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=88563
3. If you leave it blank, it should be OK. I think you should write down date of your current leave expiry because at the moment you should not intend to work beyond this period unless you get extension

@shahmir: no its not surely a translation, the original one is in english and there is a urdu version as well. Me and my wife signed the english and urdu one as well. They are both original.

Then this is fine. You don't need Urdu one.

flr(m) and then set (m) if she is here before July 2012
2. what dos do I need?
If she fall under old rules then nothing special just pay slips and accommodation and address proof otherwise you have to show 18600 income as per new rule
3. Does she need to pass life in UK ?
No she need English test level a1 or if she has qualification equals uk bachelor then that will meet English requirement and then for set(m) she need both English test and life in uk.if u search under topic 10 years long residence postal application you will get all the information
thanks

Did you receive ILR as a PBS applicant or long residence?

She should make an application today because of the changes tomorrow.

Why didn't she do anything since the advice given on 16 February?

Indeed she should send FLR(M) today by recorded delivery and keep proof of postage, otherwise it'll be a 5 year route to settlement.

Hi,
thanks for your response.
I got my ILR based on long residence (10 years).

She got her first visa (Tier 1 dependant) in May 2013 so as far as I know she can not qualify for a 2 year route anyway.
Is that correct?

That's correct. Note that her 5 year qualifying period for SET(M) will start after she is granted FLR(M).
