Is there a major impact of this question on the visa officer to issue Visa? I was refused H1B visa by US consulate in 1999.

Hi,

Just put u havent been refused for another visa.....same thing i did for mine and got EC. My American was refused in 2004.

Hi All,

I had applied for PR for Canada, the application was refused on the grounds that my skills do not match with the list of National Occupation Matrix. The Canadian High Comission has just sent me a letter of refusal and there is no entry made in my old Indian passport which is now cancelled as I have now taken Australian Citizenship.

My question is, On VAF1 form should I say Yes or No to
Question No. 4.7 Have you ever been refused a visa for another country?

Has anyone gone through this situation?
Do High Comission Officers have access to other High Comission information.

hi

Just be forthright with all facts ..they dont refuse a visa just because a US visa has been refused ..i speak from experience....

I also had US refused once and I mentioned it in the application. I got my EC for 2 years. So I think you should mention it and it will not be a problem.

Does the UK consulate interview the candidate / contact the US consultate in case of such refusa? How much details are we expected to give regarding the refusal?
