An email received regarding extension of Stay

Post by aj77 » Sun Aug 22, 2004 11:00 pm

HSMP applicant can do any type of work or specialised work for one year for extension of next 3 years?.they replied,

From: "WPCustomers" <wpcustomers@ind.homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk>
Subject: RE: Need guidance and clarification of the rules related to Exten sion of Stay(FLR)

To extend your stay under HSMP you need to show evidence of your
economic
activity in the UK. Three months wage slips and bank accounts for the
last 3
months. Even though you have not been able to find work which is using
your
qualifications, this does not mean that you will automatically be
refused
the further 3 years. You need to show that you are able to support
yourself
and dependants without recourse to public funds.
Please find attached the FLR(IED)
<<FLR(IED).doc>>
I hope this is helpful.

May this email be helpful for HSMP applicant who is going to extend his Visa for next 3 years.
Any comment will be welcomed.

I don't think they will be looking for amount remaining in your account but the Pay transferred. Also One must have atleast 2-3 months expense (GBP 2000+) atleast to prove his survival.

Dear AJ77,
That was quite nice of you sending an e mail to work permit and letting us know their reply for extension after 1 year.
I know a lot of ppl may have benefited from that reply you pasted.
Even I am here from teh last 3 months and still not able to get the right job as per my profile. Before I read your reply, i was very much tensed up as to what would happen to me after 1 year, but after reading the letter from the home office I was a bit relaxed.
Thanks for taking initiative.

rckybhardwaj,

I am still waiting for the decision on my application. I am in in IT industry(Programming).
As being in the UK for some time, do you think that it is easy or hard to get a job in the IT market there?

Dear fomar,
well u can tell me in which programming field you are and how much experience do u have.
If u have a good IT experience and good communications skill and a decent english, getting an IT job should not be a problem for u.
Pay is much good here as well as teh expenses as i should say.
But, yes for an IT person the line is much more clear, easy and smooth for some reasons as they don't have to necessarily have a UK driving licence, the job market is quite healthy as lot of jobs are available and the pay is also good.
So a person with a good experience should not find it tough to get a job here.

rckybhardwaj,

Thank you for your reply.

I have more than 30 months commercial experience in VB, ASp, .Net, VB.net, ASP.net, SQL Server 2000. So do you think these skills are booming there

timefactor,

I do have a solid experience in .net(asp.net using vb.net). I have developed many applications using .net, sql server 2000, Active Diretory Programming (for managing security permissions in the intranets applications of my company).

I even do my master degree thesis in web services

I do not have experience in Content Management Server

I am still waiting for the decision on my HSMP application.

I am not in the UK
