what is processing time

hie everyone i'm new on this forum. this is my situation as follows.
sent application on 9/01/13
biometric letter recieved 14/02/13
biometrics submitted 16/02/13
still waiting for decision for my daughter and i.

congrats to you all who have recieved your ILR. i can't sleep thinking of mine. i hope its on its way. please can someone tell me why it takes so long for homeoffice to process our applications. what checks do they do?

Up to 6 months from biometrics though, I'd hazard a guess of May/June.

Up to 6 months from biometrics though, I'd hazard a guess of May/June.
