Dependent ILR - Approved

Post by keerthi » Thu Apr 11, 2013 6:45 pm

Hello All,

Thanks for your help, got approval for my dependents in Croydon.

As suggested, Used SET(O), ticked others.

Added my child as dependent of my wife, ticked 1 main + dependent for payment. Most of the application form was blank.

After Biometric, I was asked to give all the documents + copies in the customer service desk.

After a 75 minute wait, called by the customer service desk and the documents along with approval letter was provided.

Checked the originals, found my BRP was missing, went back and got it from the customer service desk.

Again, Thanks a lot for all the help and suggestons.

Regards,
Keerthi

Congrats keerthi !

Below is my situation :

Came to UK (Work Permit) : 8 Jan 2008
WP renewed : 24 Oct 2008 till 31 Oct 2009
Applied for Tier2 (ICT) : 06 Oct 2009 - 14 Nov 2010
Renewed Tier2 (ICT Established Staff) : 18 Oct 2010 - 14 OCT 2012
My wife came to UK (PBS dependent) : 30 May 2011
I renewed my visa Tier 2 (ICT Long term staff and my wife as a PBS dependent ) : 10 AUG 2012 - 01 OCT 2014
I applied for my ILR : 13 Dec 2012

I am going to apply for my wife's ILR in May 2013 using Set O form.

Can you please share your cover letter ?
I have checked the new form and they do have category called "PBS Dependent". Have you selected this category ?

Thanks,
Sree

Dear Keerthi,

Was there any consideration of absences for dependents? I understand that dependents have to spend 2 years in UK to be eligible for ILR.

For example, if dependent had continuous ‘dependent visa’ since their first entry in UK (2006 onwards) and if they had spent more than 6 months away from UK couple of times would they be considered to have completed 2 years resident period and hence eligible for ILR using SET(O) form provided main applicant has got ILR?

Appreciate your inputs?

regards

Hi,

I have given a simple letter addressing UKBA stating My wife's and kids name, they are my dependent for the past X years, and would like to apply ILR for them. I have also provided my ILR details.

Hi , There is no 2 year rule for WP dependants. I applied this month for my wife with no issues and I was ILR holder through 5 year WP route and now a British citizen. My wife first entered into UK Apr 2008. Stayed for an year and left UK for 6 months(continuous) came back stayed for an year and left uk for 18 months(continuous) then came back got ILR with out any issues before her WP dependant visa expired.

Thanks keerthi.

Is it mandatory. Because I am doing contracting and I want to apply in Glasgow for my wife and kid.

If it is mandatory, the case worker will not entertain me, because of ltd company structure.
