Spouse partner visa english exam

Hi,

I am looking for some information about spouse partner visa english exam, the spouse is leaving in a non EU country at the moment. Inordet to apply for a visa, an english exam is needed among other documents. I would like to know what is required for the test?, what is the duration of the test and its difficulties? and what score one needs to acheive inorder to pass the test.
