Schengen Visa - Via Spanish Embassy

Post by welshchris » Tue Jan 30, 2007 9:02 am

Hi there

My wife (Thai National) has to apply for a Schengen Visa to travel to Spain at the end of March/Start of April, everything is in order. However the only problem i can see is that her initial 2 year spouse visa for the UK is set to expire on 1st May (she is unable to extend or apply for ILR until April 26th).

So i was wandering if anyone has had any experience of this and if this would hinder her chances of obtaining the visa.

Your views help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Chris

If the problem is the Spanish embassy because they are rude you can try with another Schengen embassy (German, Italy, Portugal.....). You can step inside Spain with every Schengen visa.

Chris,

If you look on the netherlands embassy website, you will see they have a consulate in cowbridge, you will be able to submit your paperwork there for free (only paying a charge for special delivery of docs)

The visa normally takes 10-14 days to be issued and you can use this to go to spain. although ideally it might be better if you at least visit holland too

I agree ... if you will not visit Holland, the second time you will ask them a visa they can make some problem to you !
