Pls help. Problem with Start Date in COS

Hi. I have been assigned COS today. My visa is valid till August 10th 2013.
In COS they kept the Start Date on August 2013 and End date on August 2016. I booked PEO appointment on May 2nd. I prepared all the documentation and ready to go. Now I am in a problem about the start dates and end dates.

I feel my company assigned me the COS so quickly and I still have 4 months of visa left. Now can I go on May 2nd appointment. If so whats the visa status will be between May 2nd and August 10th or they assign me the Tier 2 visa from may 2nd or shall i cancel the appointment on May 2nd and book slot in July. pls help me..

its not a problem, just make sure ya start on the 1st of august. regards

U cannot apply 3 months before the start date and cos is valid for 3 months when it is assigned , consult a solicitor

Should have got it assigned after 10/05/2013. You cannot apply before 3 months of visa remaining date. My wife (main applicant) visa expires on 10/08/2013 so I am getting it assigned on 13/05/2013 (Monday) and then apply online the next day. Just stick to rules.
