It's been stated that they are dealing with new applicants now as a first step to clear the backlog so new applicants should be fine I surmise...

The program was absolutely shocking and made me feel sick to my stomach. If I thought I would be happier going back to America than I would because this whole process is taking so long and having such an effect on my mental health.

BUT I have been in the UK for 8 years now, and feel more British than American. Considering I came when I was 14 and am now 22...I grew up here, my friends are here.

I'm considering trying to contact newspapers/magazine/anything public to shine some more needed light on the situation that I and others are stuck in because of this.

Dispatches has lit a fire in my belly and it won't go away until i've had my voice heard!

Thank you for the reminder,I caught the replay on +1.. My God I am shell shocked from what I have just seen! I can tell you clearly from what I've just seen that MY application (refusal 22nd) was one of those that was just cleared of the table to meet the deadline (31st of March) as explained on the programme!

Basically, UKBA hurriedly processed all new family cases to meet target using people who are not qualified. £6.50/hr to decide someone future? My God!!!!! THIS IS JUST SHOCKING... :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: Look at the state of those office? This is a so called 1st world country..

I must add that I contacted my MP about 5 weeks ago. She wrote to UKBA and has not received any reply as at yesterday.

I called UKBA on monday 15/4/13 as my application has gone pass the 6 months mark. After a long wait, finally got through to a guy who told me that the application is not yet completed and I should wait.

I asked if there's any time frame with regards to the waiting game his reply was 'no' I should just wait!!!!!

Best of luck to everyone here who's life is on hold at the moment as a result of the clear incompetence of the UKBA!!!!!!!!!!!

one thing you should take from that documentary is that the UKBA are pathological liars. They make up figures to hide the severity and reality of the situation.

Seriously don't be optimistic about wait times. Just prepare yourself for the worst i.e a 1 year wait. that way you can somewhat go about your life without worrying about it and if it comes before all the better.

Yes, My partner and Son are both British citizen..What's your story?

@egoneo

True talk..They can also move the goal post to suit them but cant move the goal post for applicants! Not even applying discretion.. Quick to refuse and find fault yet they can lie and manipulate figures to suit them..PURE HATRED I have developed for those people. :evil:
