Hello My friend is an Asylum seeker with no passport but a travel document of uk.I want to visit the USA can I use my Travel document to apply for visa? if yes how ?

Asylum seekers are not issued travel documents by ukba. To be issued such a document your friend would have been granted some form of status by UK eg refugee status or humanitarian protection. What type of travel documents does he have and what is his status in the UK.

Yes he is granted as a Refugee and have a travel document saying travel document of European convention that he got it from the HO plus he just got his ILR but don't have his own country passport. Can he apply for American Visa with this document.

Did your friend applied for visa then and was he granted or not?

Does anyone know what are the requirements for usa visa if someone is on refugee status in UK? Help is appreciated, i am asking on someone's behalf. Thanks
