Hi,

Can someone please clarify if after submission of application- there are two different status as:

1. Visa application forwarded to BHC and thereafter
2. Visa under process at BHC.

I am wondering as I submitted my application at Mumbai VFS on 26th of Feb 2013 and ever since it has been just showing the status as application forwarded. Does this mean that it isn't under process?

Hi GD,

Nope status hasn't changed. I think we've to wait for few more weeks. I was told minimum of 64 working days at Bangalore VFS. How many days did Mumbai VFS told for you.

Hi Karan,

VFS Mumbai told me 43 days- and I dont remember if it was working or consolidated.

Abt 52 calendar days have elapsed since.

Also, Karan what is your status - mine just shows application forwarded to BHC. I am wondering if it also changes to being "under process" at some stage.

Hi GD,

Looks like mumbai applications are processed quicker, my visa status is "Visa application is under process at the British High Commission". Sometime BHC doesn't update the status properly both the status are same so not to worry your application is in process. 43 days I guess is number of working days, so you should hear from BHC in a week or 2 weeks time. One of my fri in some other forum, he directly called the embassy with the appeal number and said the appeal is allowed the letter is on the way in post and pls make an appointment to submit passport to visa stamped. But it happened in chennai office. U pls try this if u haven't got ur letter with u still

Wat does it say in letter. If u got the letter they would have mentiond where and where u should submit your passport to get visa stamped.

No it ia a long statemen5 seb5 by the judge that says the appwal has been allowed and the respondant decision was wrong and out of law. I y h7sband recieved his copy in dehli today by courier and I have said to go dehli high commision on monday with passport even 8f they dont stamp it at least they will get ball rolling and I spoken to someone todau qho said to call on monday . Dont want to wait another 10 weeks fir them to pull finger out

Usually they ll mention Wat to do next that's is where to submit passport and when. Pls contact embassy as early as possible

Yeah I will call them at 9 indian time tommorow and see. My husband is going to mmorow to bhc new dehli its only half hour from where he is.

The embassy havw said they are waiting for the sat team at angel sq to firward the letter on i have emailed them n will send fax today also thubny going tommorow
