Two Evidences to prove the past earnings - very confused

Post by Perdesi007 » Wed Apr 17, 2013 9:13 am

Hi Every One,

I am due to apply for my Tier 1 Extension tomorrow, I have got two questions in my mind, am a bit confused about past earning evidences. I am applying as an employed and self employed applicant:

APplication form asks you to send two documents to prove your past earnings: (on Page: 26)

Payslips
Bank Statements
Dividends

Invoice explanations/payment
summaries from your managing
agent/accountant

I guess the 4th one applies on self employment applicants, If I give accountant summary along with the bank statements, would these two documents be enough to explain my self employment or do I have to give Invoices as well ?

If I supply the accountant attested Invoices, Do I have to mention my HMRC Ref number on them ?

waiting for your reply

Thanks

U need to provide invoices as per Policy Guidance;

Where an applicant is submitting a combination of bank statements and
a letter/invoice summary from their accountant, they must also provide any
invoices generated during the period for which earnings are being claimed.

All accountants must be either fully qualified chartered accountants or
certified accountants who are members of a registered body, see section on
providing evidence from an accountant or accountancy firm.

My accountant is a registered chartered accountant and has given me following documents:

1. Letter from Accountant with total earnings on company's letter head

2. Profit & Loss Accounts

I hope above two are ok, along with this I will supply the Bank Statements.

Do you guys think this will be enough to prove my earnings as self employement ?

No, you need to provide Invoices. Tier 1 guidance states that if you are relying on an Accountants Letter and Bank Statement, then you must provide invoices.

ok, the reason i am avoiding the invoices is that my accountant is not stamping the invoices , he has only signed them and rest he has mentioned all the payments in profit & Loss account and in his letter showing the accont period.

I don't think this should cause a problem, what do you say?

any seniors out there to answer this please?
