HSMP fees : Is UK Postal order = Demand draft in GBP

I want to send the HSMP applicaiton from India, Bangalore. Can I get the Demand draft in GBP in HDFC bank ? Is UK Postal order = DD in GBP?

yes you can get DD in GBP from HDFC BANK.
DD = Cheque

So HSMP has to process the same day

So, If I am right, it is considered as UK Postal order , and the HSMP appln will be considered for processing in the same day ?

I want to know :
If my HSMP is approved : will I get 6 months to apply EC?
If my EC is approved , how many months I get before I leave to UK .
If my EC is approved , how many months I get before I start the work .
