Practicing Ayurveda under Tier 1 General

Post by b.srinivas231 » Mon Apr 22, 2013 8:55 pm

Hi,

I am on Tier 1 General, My wife has completed BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery) in India. She has joined me here as dependent.

As you are all aware, our Tier 1(G) BRP cards read

"RESTRICTED WORK NO DR/DENTIST IN TRAINING OR SPORTSPERSON"

I want to know if she can practice Ayurveda holding this visa?
Ayurveda is like alternative therapy in UK.

Thanks in advance!!

Srinivas

yes, from an immigration perspective. however you may need to separately check if there are any regulatory requirements (e.g. to work as a doctor one needs registration with general medical council).
