This letter is a formal request for the registration of (child name) and (child name 2) as British citizens, under Section 1(3) of the British Nationality Act 1981.

Both (child name) and (child name 2) were born in the UK and have lived here all their lives. Today I received one of my son registration certificate as British who is born in uk but the other 2 son`s was refused who`s born out side uk. I don`t know if the home office don`t willing to allow at discretion. then why they mention in Other Category. I have loss of 1700 GBP. Good luck to anyone

babe_khyber, can you explain more about your 2 children who got refused? I am also planning applying for my children's BC through sec 1.3 and 3.1.
My question is
1. Did your two children get ILR before the BC application?
2. How old are they?
3. How long did they stay in the UK?

It was rather quick, took 23 days to get the certificate. One thing I don't get, everyone is talking about receipt of approval and receipt of certificate, I received the certificates today with a cover letters (in the same envelope) that seem to be the approval letter.
Should I be expecting some sort of special approval letter?
