Returned passport for urgent travel but now I want to apply

Hi experts

I returned my wife's passport from ukba because my father was ill and we wanted to travel back home. But unfortunately my father passed away in the meantime and its a while. Now I would like to apply for my wife again. Her visa expired on 18th march but the initial application was made in time and on flr (m) spouse of ilr applicant. I have got my ilr about a couple of weeks ago.

Is it possible that I can apply for her again? Her documents was returned on yesterday.
