we are probably the longest waiting member for ilr in this forum

here is my wife and I ilr set protection route application
Application submitted date: 11th July 2012 by Special delivery
Biometric enrolments received: 15 Oct 2012
Biometric done: 18 Oct 2012
sent a letter to UKBA to ask about our application status on 23 Jan 2013
Received a reply from UKBA on 29 Jan 2013
and still nobody can tell me how long more we have to wait.......

spent £25 and waited about 12 minutes each time to talk to unhelpful wasted ukba helpline twice what they told us were waittttttt....hope we will get them before we die........

Hi all. Any new news . Anyone in the forum had answer from homeoffice about ILR. I submitted my Biometrics on 8th of April 2013 and still waiting. It is really very stressful to wait.

your 6 month period will be ending in few days 01/05/2013.
Have you got your MP involved, if not suggest do that.

Also after 01/05/2013 call the home Office where you have the right to enquire about your application as the 6 month period has passed already.

Hi Peterpan!

Good news this morning! I was woken up by the postman knocking on my door delivering a letter from the HO informing me that my application was successful. In the same letter, all the documents I enclosed in my application, including my Travel Document, were returned. Half an hour later, my Biometric Residence Permit was delivered by a different special courier who asked me for proof of id.

Here is my timeline:

Application date: 27th December 2012
Received by HO: 28th December 2012
Biometric received: 27th January 2013 (dated 24th January 2013)
Biometric done: 27th January 2013
ILR received: 26th April 2013

Soo four months in total!

I am relieved I don't have to wait any longer, and that I am now able to travel abroad as I couldn't do so while my application was on hold. I wish all of you guys on here a lot of success. Be patient, I am sure you will all get your ILR soon!

Dear friends / and all participating members

Finally we have received our ILRsssssssssssssssssssss.

Time Line

1. Received biometric invitation after 3 months of the application. Applied on 8th Jan 2013.
2. First biometric Received on 7th April 2013.
3. Some correction Required 2nd biometric invitation received on 15th April 2013.
4. All Biometrics were done on the same date.
5. BRP Cards received on Friday 26th April 2013.
6. Approval letters receive today on 27th April 2013 and supporting docs.


Thanks to everybody for their contributions and please advise me how i can apply for my kids registration for British nationality.
They were born during my refugee leave !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know many people how i can get their photos attested ..by a referee who has to be professional >..... ?????


Looking forward for any positive contributions,,,,,, doley I am concerend about you please get your MP to get involved... I did wrote them a letter myself which worked..... i think so but not sure.... But to do something is better then doing nothing once the standard time is over as you should not be delayed for more then 6 months without any reasonable ground

after 9 months and 15days we finally received our approval and BRP yesterday 26/04/2013 and decision was made on 24/04/2013. I have been granted ILR but my wife ILR was refused and granted DLR instead. we have made a few enquires to immgration lawyers and going to meet them this coming week .

Doely did you brought it your family as re union or thy are already in your claim if your wife is qualified residency requirement then you can request for reconsideration but if you brought after you were granted then leave it for next year.

thank you for your recent post. we are the very unfortunate couple, I had waited 10 years to get LLR. I met my wife over here and it took 4 months to get initial marriage approval then we finally got married in Aug 2010. when she applied her spouse visa, I got just 2 more years left on my LLR. as you know home office takes ages to do their job and when her spouse visa was granted my LLR got left just 1 years 9 months 17 days. so they gave her exactly what I got left on my LLR not usual pattern of 2 years spouse visa.

I know a lot of people got given longer visa than whom they depend on. I heard some of my friends got ILR straight after living as 2 years spouse visa even though main applicant status were still in LLR.

people are suffering because their huge delays on not doing their job properly has effect hugely on other human beings.

Are you sure we are allowed to do that. How about the 12 months residency requirement. I know in the past that was not required or HO was not too bothered about it. I have many friends who applied after their ILR and got their application accepted during 2010 to 2012 without waiting 12 months. Bear in mind those people were from legacy cases and they were all living in the UK for more than 6 years at the time of their apllications. However, i have heard that recently HO refuses anyone applying before the 12 months residency period!! No matter how long they have lived here, they should wait and be free for at least 12 months from immigration control..

I know until July 2012 HO was not too bothered about it as one of my friend's naturalisation application got accepted straight after his ILR. But i read a post on the naturalisation thread the other day and an applicant was refused and was asked to wait for 12 months after his/her ILR.

Do you know anyone personally that have applied lately and got their application accepted. Cos i am in the same boat as you are. As a matter of fact i have already applied. I applied 10 days after i got my ILR. So far no news but i am really stressed and almost sure that they will refuse me.

Please let me know of anything you might know on this matter, I would appreciate anyone else who may have got some news for I and Peterpan..

You are correct, but the only exemption from that if you are married to aBC then you dont need to wait for 12 months as far as you can prove with your ILR your presence physically and lawfully in the UK for the last 3 years.... NCS went through the checklist when I applied and fullfiled their criteria.

One of my friend applied in middile of march and received biometric on 30 march and done 4th april got ilr 9th may. which is wery good how ever in the past we have 6 month waitted for ilr the most importing thing is that my friend submitted his appliation without travel document he didn`t mention travel out side uk but he traveled a lots anyway its seams to me the home office improve processing time since feb.

From the date of you BRP Card issued date for example your BRP is started 17/05/2013 you will be eligible for naturalisation on 17th may 2014 I hope now you will be satisfied.

Hi if it is ILR based on SET Protection route then:

Your application form- completed and signed
Your original LLR
Travel document if you have any
Photo

Also your dependant documents if you adding them as well, if none then just the above

No Need for Life in UK test, no need to pay anything

Don`t worry Olazh one of my friend applied set protection route in 13 march 2013 and got Biometrics letter 28/03/2013 and done on 4th april received ILR on 9th may 2013.
he is just submitted immigration status document LLR and photos nothing more thing like Travel Document he had but did not submitted he is travelled a lots that is why he keep his owned.

You have to do Fingerprints again.
