Did they call or e-mail?
Did u mention their e-mail address in the references? I thought that they usually e-mail, rather than calling....Please share.
Thanks.

Employer verification

Post by hsmp07 » Thu Apr 05, 2007 7:16 am

I too was surprised when my employer got a call from the local British High Commission for verification. I had sent the email address as well as the telephone number of my employer(s) but they chose to call. I was wondering if its a good sign that they are verifying with the employer(s), or do they verify for all applications?

Even my appln is with a CW....Since a week (at least since 4 days).
Did not receive any mail from them...yet.
Seems that they have made verification mandatory...

i dont think so that they have made the verification mendatory, it depends on case to case. if they ve ny doubt they will verify otherwise they will not. nd it also depends on country from where u r applying.

is there ny body else whose employer got the verification ?

HI guys..

My application

Sent on 9/3/07
Received 16/3/07
Allocated to case worker 28/3/07

Still under consideration for over one week. Its an in country application

Education 30 pts Earning 20 UK Experience 5 Age 20

However my earnings were in the period of my study, back home(dubai). But the number of hours i attended college were lesser than 15 Hours per week (approx 13-14 hours per week). anything more than 15 hours is regarded as full time study in UK. I dont know how the HSMP ppl will assess my application. this is because the HSMP ppl say that they dont consider any earnings earnded whilst at full time study.

Your ideas are welcomed.!!! thanxz
