Post by mrnaidu » Mon Apr 29, 2013 4:30 pm

First thanks a ton whoever for this forum idea, and many thanks for the users who always give very good suggestions and supportive

I am planning to apply for ILR. Could you all give suggestion/comment for my case below explained?

Work permit Stamp date: 30/06/2008 to 29/06/2013 (5 Years)
Entered UK Date 17/08/2008 (Delayed my travel by 47 Days)
Visa conversion to Tier 1 27/07/2010 to 26/07/2012
Tier 1 Extension applied & valid until 26/10/2015

Question 1
Can I apply ILR after 02/06/2013?

(Based on my work permit stamp date I finish my 5 year continuous period 30/06/2013 and prior to 28 days criteria)

Question 2
Documents related, after exploring this forum lot of people getting below letters, are they mandatory and I can’t apply if I don’t have them?

1. Employment History letter from HMRC
2. NI letter
3. Absence letter from Employer.
I can get letters 1 and 2 like others but Absence letter from employer is difficult to get now, my previous employer will not respond.

I have following documents for applying:

SET(0) form
Photos with names at the back
Passport
Biometric Card
5 x P60
5 x Pay Slips
5 x Bank Statements
LIUK Pass letter
Previous Work permit letter
Degree Certificates,
Course Taught in English letter from University
Excel sheet mentioning my Exit and Entry for last 5 years
Year 1 – 26 days
Year 2 – 0
Year 3 - 15 days
Year 4 - 7 days
Year 5 - 0 days
----------------------
Total = 48 days
---------------------------

Please all experts and juniors please share your views and I hope this query also helps lot of other people like me to assess their situation

Thanks

You can apply for the ILR if you have lived continuously in the country for 4 years 11 months and 2 days.

Regarding your absences..if they were on paid leaves..you can just get the bank statement for the respective months.
