Hi all, I have a friend who applied for long residence in Sept last year but just realised that he had missed 8 months tax in 2009 which he was meant to pay.my question is: can this affect his application.

if HMRC is chasing him for the tax then he could have problem.

tell your friend to pay it. If they refuse his/her visa he/she can appeal against it.
