ILR Success at Croydon PEO on May1

Post by tvsgold » Mon May 06, 2013 10:15 pm

First of all I would like to thank all the members of Immigration Board who wholeheartedly help others with valuable knowledge. I specially want to thank Chetan Ojha , who helped me immensely in my first tier 1 application.

Me and my wife(dependant) applied for ILR and was granted May 1, Wednesday.

Here are the details---

Our Appointment time was 8.15 and the reporting time was 7.45 i n the morning. We reached there at right time and were given a token on ground floor. We were asked to sit at the third floor cafeteria. After a few minutes we were called to the other side of the same floor and asked to pay the fees on the payment desk, here they took the payment page of the set(o) form. After this the case was registered on another desk where they took the details from the passport and BRP .Now were sent to the Boimetric counter and submitted all our documents there after the fingerprints and photo were taken. We were sent back to the cafeteria to wait while our application was under consideration. We waited 1.5 hours and was called to the collection point and was granted the ILR.

We divided our documents in 3 Files---
1)Main File

Items provided(Covering 2 years)

Cover Letter
Passport
BRP
Life in UK Pass Certificate
HMRC Employment History Letter
12 Months Bank Statement
12 Months Payslips (signed and stamped)
Past Earning explanation*
PBS Workout sheet*
Absence Letter from Employer
P60(last 4 years)

2)Xerox of the Main File.

3)Cohabitation File

Items Provided (Covering 2 Years)

In Joint name with my wife
Marriage Certificate
Council Tax
Electric Bill
Tenancy Agreement
Bank Statement
Health Insurance

In the name of Main Applicant

Items Provided(Covering 2 years)

UKBA Letter (Visa Extension letter)
Bank Statement
NHS Letter
HMRC Letter(stating the tax code)
Poll Card

In the name of Dependant

Items Provided(Covering 2 years)

UKBA Letter (Visa Extension letter)
Bank Statement
NHS Letter
NI Number Letter
Poll Card
Letter from Deposit Protection Services.
This letter is given to the tenants when they submit deposit on renting a home from any letting agency stating that the money is in safe hands and will be refunded.(Their website www.depositprotection.com).Fortunately this letter was on my wife's name though my name was mentioned as Tenant.

Xerox of all the cohabitation documents

We labelled all the plastic pages of the folders,so that they take no pain to understand what has been provided.

*Its written nowhere that one has to submit
Past Earning Explanation and
PBS Workout Sheet
But I did so and the documents were taken.

They took all xerox of all documents+cover letter.

As everyone asks for the cover letter , the absence letter & past earnings explanation letter so i am pasting that as well here

Hi tvsgold, cruzez,

Firstly, CONGRATULATIONS on your ILR !

May I request your qualifying dates of ILR and did you apply for it 28 days before Entry Clearance Date or First Entry to the UK?

Also, how many total number of days you were out of the UK. When your employer gave you a letter, did he write dates only for Working Days or he included Weekends / Bank Holidays to it as well?

Much appreciate your response.

Thanks

I had 165 days total excluding arrival departures. I applied 4 days before current visa expires. I simply took letters from employer for the days i was outside stating paid holidays. I had few travels during weeknds bank holidays for which i didnt take any employer letter just personal due to these days were outside employer contractual days.
