Hi V+P,
Stay positive. We did submit our application on the 7th of July 2012- a day before rules were to change.
Our solicitor takes monthly updates- and he keeps saying all is well and that they have all the paperwork they need.
That has not been able to re-assure me enough. (And we do have arguments on this topic- and I moan miserably at times). I can understand what goes on with you two. Yesterday, we had a similar discussion- with me wondering- what more we could have done to expedite!
But then I did get a thought- which may help you. If there were deficiencies- your application would have been thrown out much earlier.
Stay positive- as what you hope is what will happen. Just be patient. I have lost an exceptional job- and source of my living (and prosperity)...and though I do feel it is a set back in personal life- not being with the person u love or having something to keep yourself occupied....there is nothing in the short term that can be done about it. It has to be accepted in the form it is.
Do not think about any back up plans! It will work out...Reiki- power of positive thinking.....
I wonder where you got the number of applicants from. The processing times page gives the entire number of applicants. The applications processed real quick -are most likely outright denials.
Stay here-good news is three of our colleagues have reported receipt of visa just last week end.
Best regards,
GD

Processing with BHC on March 13th 2013
Still no answer.
Am just curious what they can refuse fiance for? My partner is now in India waiting, without a job, and cannot even travel.
We have read so many posts on this forum and all say pretty much the same, that BHC is slow.
We submitted everything to VFS and the guy even checked the paperwork and said it was OK. We are worried a lot of people have been refused and we would like to know on what rounds for the refusal?
And also Delhi BHC only processed around 30 successful settlement visa claims in March. Why such a low number when thousands apply?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
