I quote from http://www.workingintheuk.gov.uk/workin ... hsmp.html?

If you wish to request that your application be considered on an urgent basis it is possible to make a request for your application to be processed urgently in the following circumstances:

You have urgent travel commitments;
You require urgent medical treatment;
You have received an offer of employment;
You have other exceptional circumstances.

You will be required to complete an HSMP Urgent Treatment form which can be faxed to the HSMP Team on 0114 207 6021.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Urgent treatment form should ideally be faxed. Cover letter is not a requirement. If you have a job offer than fax that with the UT form. If you DO need to attach a cover letter just address it to Work Permits (UK) HSMP and that should do fine as you are sending the request via fax. All that matters is that you fax it to the correct number (listed above) and the relevant department would receive it automatically.
When you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack

don't sent urgent treatment together with your application. they want it to be faxed when you already know your reference number.

i did the following: after i got my refernce number, filled in urgent treatment form, attached job offer, and fax cover sheet - just i am faxing my urgent treatment form together with my job offer bla bla bla...
in an hour i've got an email that decision has been made.

i faxed urgent treatment in 2 weeks after the application was sent.

good luck!

You have not mentioned the reason for urgent treatment and evidence that you will submit. How could the people help you ???

For strong reason and evidence the decision will be made within days. Without evidence they will not consider it.

However, it also depends on previoud evidence that you have submitted tp claim points for Language, qualifications, earning.

i faxed my urgent treatment in the morning and got an answer in 3 hours after.

if you don't get a reply soon, you should call them and ask, after you fax your documents.
good luck!

Yes, this is normally the case. You will get decision, (normally positive) within days. But it also depends on the company who offer the Job. Normally it is much easier if the job was offered by the companies who have succesfully applied many WP for their employers before.

But if it is umbrella company, the case could be different.

Hope this information is usefull

urgent treatment not always fast

Post by SASMAN » Wed Apr 11, 2007 7:34 pm

I applied on 29 Jan, and I faxed my urgent treatment form on 26 February, with the reason of starting work on 1 March. I still have no decision so there is no definite time when they will get it back to you.

hi sasman..

if homeoffice is taking so much time...then whats the point asking them for the urgent treatment..as you can check the forum..normally results are really fast after this new hsmp rule...
I dont know..why ure case is taking so much time....but yes i have read lot of applicants getting the result in a day or two with the u t rq.

Still confused...should fax the letter or just wait..

If you have job offerred than I will say why do not try it, you have nothing to loose. Though the same reason your case might be diffrence. For instance, the Company who offere you the job, your proof of Language, qualifications, earning might be different with other people who apply for urgent tretment but still delayed
