To which address to be sent ? current processing time=?

I am going to send HSMP application from India.
I want to know :

1) If I send by courier which Address I should send ?

(as per page 3 in HSMP guidelines)

OR

Immigration & Nationality Directorate

2) Can I buy the DD in HDFC bank in GBP to pay the fees . Will Home office takes 5 days to process the application or consider that as Postal order and process the application in the same day ?


3) What is the current processing time for HSMP approval

4) Is there any sample covering letter which I can use ?

5) Will I get my original ceritificates in 2 weeks time or they will send it only along with the HSMP decision letter ?

6)Which courier is more reliable /cost effective from India - Bangalore to UK for this HSMP application?

i have sent my application from bangalore by fedex courier ( it is near richmond circle , raja ram mohan roy road)

I havent heard of too many out of country applicants paying by DD ...i have used my credit card to pay .....

original certificates will be sent back only with decision letter ..it will take more than a month for sure ...maybe two....

address should be used for courier (since courier cannot be sent to a PO Box address).


the current processing times are on the wortpermits uk website. I just got my approval letter today. it took 12 working days in total from the time i sent my application to the time i recieved it.
