@kumarpriya

Any update
Hi,

we have got another date of hearing on 10th May. Our lawyer is asking again 800 GBP for this hearing date otherwise she refused to go. We have already paid her 2000 GBP. We are unable to understand what to do now? my husband is planning to go to court without lawyer because we can not give our hard earned money like this...and still we are not sure of getting visa.

SETTLEMENT -SPOUSE & CHILD

Post by silver2012 » Wed May 08, 2013 5:00 pm

Hi,
I am new to this forum but have been a regular visitor, reading all queries and suggestions given by applicants themselves.. :-)

I have applied for Settlement- Wife and Child on 05/04/2013 at VFS PUNE. They told me it would take 49 working days, today its the 23rd day.. Fingers crossed..

While applying I was only charged for Courier service, when I enquired about sms charges, they said you need not pay anything extra, that is complimentary with the courier service. I dunno but as per this forum applicants have been charged isnt it... could anybody tell me what was the charge paid for availing sms service. I had paid 255 per head for courier service.

Since day one, the status of my application shows.... Your visa application has been forwarded to British High Commission.

The wait is soooo long....

Anyone applied in the month of April?

Hi NS,

Broadly all looks in order. We used a solicitor. Wait for others to comment.

The important one is the sponsorship letter. It gets missed out- because it is not properly located/ mentioned on UK BA website...people have been rejected earlier for this one...nowadays VFS will ask for the form...prior submission...look for it on UKBA website- get a print out- fill and sign. Your wife will need to submit along with application.

Regards,
GD

Your online bank statements MUST be signed and stamped by your bank aswell as a covering letter from your bank explaining that the statements are authentic and have not been tampered with. Exact same rule applies for your online pay slips, signed/stamped by employer and letter confirming they are authentic. For the P60 however i suggest you contact HMRC and ask them for your original P60 to be sent to you by post.

Hi NS ,

below is what you may need on top of what you mentioned :

1.No objection letter from Landlord /Letting agent.

2.Are you with same employer for last 12 months ? if not , u need submitting your last 12 months Payslips and bank statements .

3.If you have online Payslips , then print them on your company letterhead , that should be fine . The Guidance is as below ( See the "or" ) :

" i)on company-headed paper; or
(ii) stamped and signed by the employer; or
(iii) accompanied by a letter from the employer, on company-headed paper and signed by a senior manager, confirming that they are authentic. "

4.If you have online bank stetements , then the guidance is as below :

"electronic bank statements from an online account (defined as one that operates solely over the internet and sends bank statements to its customers electronically) which are either accompanied by a letter from the bank on its headed stationery confirming that the documents are authentic or which bear the official stamp of the issuing bank on every page "

5. Signed SU07 Form .

Below are some of extra docs you can submit (optional) :

6. ILR approval letter from Home office.

7.Travel proof to India ( i.e Travel itinerary, Boarding pass to and fro )

8. Photocopies of India visit stamped pages in Passport .

Thanks
Firefly

These are what I think you left out,
Prof of age,
birth certificate (original) of you and would to be wife
Please strengthen your prof of relationship
Include email exchange between the two of you printed out from the internet, can be from Skype, viber, whatsapp, facebook, money gram receipts if available or prove of how you send money to her if applicable, phone records, records of SMS ,include few photos other than the once from wedding ceremony, can be photos with the two of you and friends or family members and also flights confirmation and boarding passes to India for all previous trips. This helps rule out any doubt about the marriage..
This is very personal because I was refused spouse visa last year October because of that and still waiting for my 19 weeeks of ECM review to pass come next two weeks, the waiting is too painful and stressful.I didn't add a confirmation letter from UK NARIC with my degree certificate to prove my degree acquired from a country which is not recognised by UKBA is of equivalent to UK standard,I have also read from forums to forums where people have been issued visas without it,I can't say you should get it but what I can say is the only reason I was refused was because of non submission of UK NARIC letter and I have seen other two members on this forum who were also refused because of non submission of UK NARIC letter.,one of them that I remember is dhanz, who had to wait for 16 weeks to get his refusal decision overturn because of non submission of UK NARIC letter,so please be adviced and if you can just take precautions and send your would to be wifes degree certificate to UK NARIC in UK to have it assessed and granted a letter,,just advising..and all the best..
