Residency Application

1. I have a 5 yrs family permit now due to expire in May 2014.
2. Should I be applying for permanent residence 6 mths prior?
3. What should be the preffered time for the application?

I don't believe you can, as was advised on this thread. The advice remains valid. You cannot send an application, until anytime after January 2014. Provided of course your spouse has been working since 2009.
