He received a phonecall from BHC for interview on 21/05/2013

Hi All
Passport submitted on March 11th 2013.
Passport ready for collection May 16th 2013
Submitted in VFS New Delhi

Thats a total for 49 working days taking into account the public holidays.

I am flying to Delhi this weekend to meet my fiance and collect the passport together on Monday.
But i have a concern.
We submitted pretty much everything required and the guy at VFS said it was all OK. My fiance has not once had a call from BHC to provide any extra documents, nor has she been called for an interview.
Is it possible New Delhi can complete an application in 49 days and that too positive with a visa?
Me and my fiance are both very nervous now, as well as excited, but not knowing will cause a couple of sleepless nights.
Are we worrying for no reason, or would the application have been completed a lot earlier if it was unsuccessful?

Any help appreciated. Will update on Monday with the result. Praying....

Once again bhc new dehli have pissed me off. Im travelling to amritsar today to go golden temple and get my husband and bhc new dehli said bring passport today n we wil stamp it at 10am. So hubby went there then said go vfs centre as the letter said go there when they said they will send vfs email saying it 2ill be done from here.. He went submitted passport and I hope they will stamp by monday as my flight back is on ttues morning n hubvys. Wot a joke I onlyvbookedcthe flights as the guy at bhc said yeah we wil issye tommirow. Neway have been told that it will get issued in next ten days so I have changed my return but cant change outgoing as it will mean I lose 80% of my money. They didnt give a reciept to my husbsnd for passport submission

Date of application: 26.03.2013

Awaiting the visa! I am very hopefully to hear from them by end of the month and keeping my fingers crossed.

I would like to share the good news we got today morning. Long wait was over finally.

Visa applied : 26/02/2013
Submitted at VFS Bangalore
Passport and documents received : 20/05/2013
VISA GRANTED

till 02/2016.

Good luck and my best wishes to all who are waiting for their visa. Hope you guys will hear the good news shortly be patient, the wait won't be long. This forum helped me a lot in all aspects from applying to waiting.

Just to inform all those waiting for visa in New Delhi. Today my fiance and i went to VFS to collect her passport.

Opened the packet nervous as hell, and flicked through passport. VISA GRANTED!!!! Multiple entries...

All this turnaround from submission to collection in 49 days.

There is HOPE!!! Stick in there and be patient. It will be worth it in the end.

Good Luck to all, and everything i have read on this forum helped ease our nerves..

Hi,

You need to wait few more weeks, people applied end of FEB and start of March visas are hearing their decisions. Be patient you guys will hear in next few weeks.

SMS is not compliment you need to pay on top of the application fees.

I do not remember the exact amount but it was something between INR 200 -300. Yup we were quoted 49 days as well. I do not think that they change the status quite often.

I also believe that online status check and SMS service are two different things. Even if you did not pay for SMS updates, you can still check the status online.

I made an excel sheet for projecting the estimated date based on the successful timelines posted in this forum.

My husbands status has changes to Application Processed and Documents sent by Blue dart, does this mean he has been issued with the visa and also where have the documents been sent

Hi,

Basically the status means, the High Commission has made decision over your application and now its in transit through blue dart... You would be receiving you documents along with the passport soon...

Hopefully you might get a gud news....

How did you husband prefer to receive his documents? Residential address or collection from VFS office.If your husband has given his residential address for receiving documents, he might get it there or he might collect it from VFS office..
